Why Tardigrada?

Pronunciation above all

Tar - di - grade

People say that every beginning is hard – and so is in our case. If you visually separate the first part of the word, it will be easier to pronounce it.

Tar - di - grade

Why Tardigrada?

Their resistance and way of life symbolically represent will. Determination, persistency and a desire to overcome all challenges that are put in front of us are, in our opinion, the most valuable virtues.

What do they look like?

Tardigrades are small (0.5mm - 1.2mm) and plump organisms without a spine. Their body is divided into four segments, each having a pair of legs. They can be found in almost every habitat on Earth: from mountaintops to the deep sea, and from tropical rain forests to the Antarctic. They can most easily be found living in a thin layer of water on lichens and mosses.

Why are they special?

The ability to survive extreme conditions, such as freezing temperatures, high levels of radiation and high pressure, makes them the toughest group of organisms on this planet. Due to their remarkable resistance, they are the only organisms that can survive in the open space.
